Alcina Review

It’s been so long since I’ve done a beauty review, I just hope I didn’t forget how to do it. πŸ™‚

Okay, let’s try it…

Hello guys! So, for today’s post I collaborated with Glamot. They sent me these two Alcina products. If you’re not familiar with Glamot, it’s an online site from Chezch Republic and it features lots of different brands like Essie, CHI, MoroccanOil etc.

As for their service, only the best. Products came well packaged and protected, delivery wasn’t the fastest, but it didn’t took to long for me to get hands on these babies! So, ifΒ  you’re looking for online site to order from, I highly recommend this one, since their products are 100% original and service is okay as well.

To be honest, I’ve never heard of this brand, but I was happy to try it out and discover something new. Alcina is a German brand and apparently, a high-quality one. Maybe, it’s not that popular, but I think it deserves more attention and here’s why.

I’ve only tried two of their products, Brilliant blush and Deep black eye liner.

Brilliant Blush

I kinda got bored with all of my blushes, so when I saw this one I had to order it. Peach trend is still very popular and I don’t have something like this. That’s why I chose this shade instead of pinky one I normally reach for and I haven’t regret it. I fell in love with it, literally, it became my fave blush! The texture is amazing, it’s so smooth and the pigmentation is just perfect. I personally don’t like blushes that are to pigmented, because it makes me look like porcelain doll and that is look I’m not trying to achieve. But, the only thing that’s worse than that is poorly pigmented blushes, that blend into nothing. I don’t how, but Alcina got it just right! It also smells really nice, I know it’s not that important, but it’s a plus! The price is around fbnb euts, I believe, which is a bit pricier for a blush, but trust me, it’s definitely worth it!

When your nails match your blush + mirror is super handy for taking picks too. πŸ™‚

Deep Black eyeliner

As for eyeliner, I have to admit I’m not thrilled by it as I am by the blush. But, before I even say anything, I have to let you know this was my first eyeliner EVER. That’s right, I’m the one who is super late on this trend and yes, the one who still doesn’t know how to use eyeliner in 2k18. I need help, I know. That’s why I decided to try out this eyeliner since I heard that apparently, pen eyeliners are better for the beginners because they are easier to use. But, not this one. It’s like an dry out marker that works good and then suddenly starts to fade. I was able to do one eye perfectly, it was so easy and smooth. The other eye was complete disaster! The tip was dry and I was left with an awful eyeliner look. I used it few more times after that and it seemed to be okay. I keep it upside down, maybe that prevents it from getting uneven and dry. My first experience was awful, but luckily I gave it a second chance. Now, I’m improving my eyeliner skills… or at least I’m trying to. πŸ™‚

That’s all for today’s post. I hope this review was helpful and maybe you’ll try some new products as well. Check out Glamot for more products. πŸ™‚

Have you already tried some Alcina products? Let me know in the comments. πŸ™‚

*These products were sent to me by Glamgot. All the opinions are my own. Again, huge thank you to Glamgot. πŸ™‚

  1. The blush palette looks so pretty, and I love those colors. And I hear you on eyeliner! It can take A LOT of practice to not only do a good job consistently, but then to get them to both match. πŸ˜‚ I honestly would recommend using a regular eyeliner rather than a pen, because you don’t have to be as precise. Pen liners make very severe lines, which look gorgeous when you go for the filled in cat eye and variations. But for people just starting out, I think it’s less intimidating just to take a pencil, and do the “follow the dots” method. Smashbox has a good Always Sharp pencil that I think is a really good one that you might try. Either way, I hope this helps! And you are not alone – we’ve all totally been there!

  2. Hello
I had never heard of this German brand, but it has a very well-known Portuguese name.
In the summer I also like to wear peach blush more than pink.
As for the eyeliner I have been using for many years, and it makes all the difference in the makeup look.

    Lots of Love
